Longiano is a small village overflowing with unexpected artistic treasures. Starting with the Petrella Theater, inaugurated in 1870 by Enrico Petrella. The Museum of Sacred Art is a Baroque treasure chest in which works of great value are preserved. The Tito Balestra Collection at the Malatesta Fortress can also boast paintings by Guttuso, Sironi, Morandi, Matisse, Goya and Chagall. A small eighteenth-century church houses the Museum of Cast Iron and, a short distance away, is the fascinating Museo del Territorio, with over 6000 traditional peasant exhibits. Another plus are the tuff caves, used as a military refuge.

It’s the city that gave birth to the great Pellegrino Artusi who, with the book “Science in the kitchen and the art of eating well”, shared important anecdotes and suggestions on Romagna’s gastronomic culture. “Casa Artusi” is an exclusive space where you can participate in interesting debates, tastings and readings.
